Civil Litigation

Violation of a Non-Compete Agreement

An employer trying to protect company assets and enforce a non-compete clause retained CompuSleuth to discover data on the company computer used by an ex-employee. The recovered data showed violations of the non-compete clause and theft of proprietary company information. The evidence was used to obtain a restraining order, minimizing potential damages to the company. Policies were then implemented for periodic inventory of computers. This provided the company with a means of monitoring to ensure future compliance.
