Assault

Forensic computer analysis of the email message lead to identification of the suspect as well as evidence of several other victims of similar unreported threats.

Murder

A District Attorney's office contacted CompuSleuth to assist the State's investigators in identifying activities that occurred on a defendant's computer system. The suspect was accused of murdering his wife after a heated argument. CompuSleuth identified the information found by the state's experts and found additional evidence regarding the "secret life" of the defendant. This evidence provided additional motive evidence. The defendant was convicted of murder.
